Calendrz

Calendrz.com is a solution in the calendar syncing space, enabling a clear visibility across a user’s schedule across all the user calendars.

Their user acquisition relied at the time on a mix of Facebook and LinkedIn advertising campaigns, email list sponsorships, SEO and organic word of mouth, with a cost per acquiring customer (CAC) hovering around $30 for the online advertising channels. This is the cost we focused on when working together on onboarding them on Boostrz.

The decision was to implement Boostrz with a view to reward top 3 users who share the solution and generated conversions, on a weekly cadence. The top 3 sharers will receive Amazon vouchers valued at $20, $10 and $5 respectively, bringing the weekly cost to $35.

Their solution consists of 2 digital properties: calendrz.com , which is their main website, and app.calendrz.com which is their logged-in user experience, where the user can set up their calendars and settings etc. As such we created a setup for them with a base URL “calendrz.com”, this ensured the solution will work for both of these digital properties. Since the user has to be logged on to access app.calendrz.com we set up the conversion URL to be “app.calendrz.com” — this means a visitor landing on app.calendrz.com is considered a conversion.

Based on the above we generated the script and embedded it into their CMS and Boostrz was up and running!

Boostrz can read user details from the page it runs on so we configured it so for logged on users we retrieve the details from the fields displaying the user’s first name, last name and email, using CSS ID selectors.

Being part of our beta program, Calendrz runs currently Boostrz for free — so their only cost in acquiring these users are strictly based on the monetary rewards to their top 3 users who invited others to the platform.
Blending in a monthly cost of $25 (currently penciled as the cost for the basic Boostrz subscription) this brings the monthly cost to $60 ($35 + $25) , which results in a CAC of ~ $4.60.
Getting Boostrz implemented on Calendrz took less than 1 hour and rendered a CAC on this channel of under $3. As a result, Calendrz has now abandoned some of their digital advertising channel in favor of Boostrz, which helps monetize their own user base at a very reduced cost.
