Getting Started

How to add Boostrz to your Website?

Be up and running with Boostrz in a few minutes by following these simple steps.
Step 1

Signup

Every great journey starts with a small step, and in the case of Boostrz that first step is signing up. Head over to Boostrz app website and click on the “signup” option. Fill in your details and click on “Create my account” (remember to agree to our terms of service!).

Once you created your profile you can log in at any point using the email and password you have provided at this step.

Step 2

View your profile

While logged into Boostrz, you can change your password and personal details from the profile page at any point. This includes updating your first name, last name, and other personal information.

The profile page will also indicate if your email address has been verified. If your email hasn’t been verified, you can initiate the verification process from the profile page.

Step 3

Verify your account

Email verification is required to fully use your account. Some features, like scheduling email delivery, will be unavailable until your email is verified.

Clicking the resend button in will trigger an email to the address listed in your profile. This email will contains a confirm link.

If you do not receive the email, you can resend it from your profile page.

Step 4

Make sure that your Profile is verified

Make sure your profile is verified by checking the verification status on your profile page. Look for the checkmark near your name indicating that your email address has been confirmed. This step is crucial for accessing all the features Boostrz offers, including scheduling email deliveries and other advanced functionalities.

Step 5

Add a new website

Once your profile has been set up and email verified, you can proceed to setting up your website in Boostrz. Click on the “+” (new) button in the left-hand bar and fill in the details of your website.

Website URL: the domain name for your website. For example, if your website address (URL) is http://www.example.com then your domain name is example.com and so on.

Website Name: This is self explanatory; however, it’s worth pointing out that if you miss out this part, Boostrz will fill it in based on your domain name. For example for “example.com” it will consider it to be “example” etc.

Website Logo URL: a link to an image with your website logo. Future version of Boostrz will detect this automatically

Once deployed onto a website, Boostrz will show an icon which when clicked displays a form allowing the user to share your website with their friends. This configuration options allows you to define where on the page can the icon / button occur and the color scheme used.

Inform your users about Boostrz, as it adds a share button across your pages. Use this field to link a blog post or announcement explaining Boostrz, encouraging users to share your site, and highlighting potential rewards. This link will appear in the sharing popup. Until you publish your own announcement, Boostrz will use a default explanatory page. Learn More.

You don’t need to fill these fields initially—Boostrz will detect them automatically with enough traffic. To speed up the process, you can manually provide the element IDs for user email, first name, and last name on your site.

Step 6

Copy boostrz script

Once you have configured your website properties, Boostrz will present you with the code you need to deploy onto your pages. Simply copy and paste this into your pages, at the end of the page, before </body> tag.

If you use a CMS system, you will need to deploy this in the page footer.

And that’s it! Boostrz will take care of the rest.

Step 7

View your websites in your Home page

You can set up many websites in Boostrz, and at any point if you head over to your “home” section you will be able to see all of them and navigate to each one of them individually to adjust settings or inspect configuration.

Step 8

Make adjustments and update your script

If at any point you need to make adjustments to your website setup, remember to hit “update” to save those changes and then you will have to re-deploy the Boostrz script onto your website.

This is because the script tag generated is based on your configuration options so any changes will reflect into this script after you save your changes — and as such you will need to deploy the new script tag.

Step 9

View Reports

Once you have set up your website, and deployed the Boostrz script on it, you will want to check on your users and reward those who contributed to your website growth. Boostrz offers a set of simple reports you can pull at any time: from the home screen, click on a website menu and select “show report”.

Overall sharing: this shows the site activity across your whole website for a given period of time. It will show you broken down per day the number of times someone has shared your website, or you can see the number of conversions generated

User engagement: for a given period of time this report will compute for each of your users the total number of shares or conversions generated and then order them in descending order such that the users who contributed the most to your website growth are at the top. From this list you can select at any point those you want to reward and proceed to doing so.

Step 10

Schedule a report

Boostrz was designed with simplicity in mind. As such, rather than having to log in every month or every week to pull user engagement reports and decide based on those who to reward, we made the reports land in your inbox instead! To benefit from this, you just have to set up a scheduled email delivery: run a user engagement report as per normal, and after the report has run give it a name and select the frequency you would like this email delivered (daily, weekly, monthly) and click on “Schedule”. Boostrz will aggregate the data and email you the report periodically based on the configuration you have given it.

At any point you can see all your scheduled reports in the “Scheduled Delivery” tab — and can select to cancel the reports you don’t need from there too. If you cancel a report by mistake, simply go back to the “User Engagement” tab, run the report once more and schedule it again.
